Atlanta Health Careers Institute (“hereinafter referred to as “AHCI”) is a private entity first approved by the Georgia Health Partnership to provide a Nursing Assistant program. As noted above, ACHI began operations as the McDonough Health Careers Institute on December 13, 2005 with five (5) students. AHCI is now authorized by The Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (NPEC) to offer seven (7) additional programs for a total of eight (8) healthcare-related programs that are designed to help fill the projected growing need for well-trained and highly qualified professionals in the following segments of the healthcare industry:
• Nursing Assistant
• Diagnostic Medical Sonography - General
• Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Cardiac
• Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Vascular
• Medical Assistant
• Patient Care Technician
• Phlebotomy
• ECG/EKG
The mission of the Atlanta Health Careers Institute (AHCI) is to provide a quality, entry-level health care education to students of all ages that is accessible and affordable to all who are willing and able to pursue health-oriented learning and professional development, regardless of age, nationality or ethnic background.
