The Nouveau Classical Project is a concert series that aims to dissolve the slitist stigma associated with classical music by placing the music in a strikingly fresh light. Music is performed alongside contemporary visual art created by emerging fashion designers and artists: musicians wear designs inspired by the piece they perform, while images of art, inspired by the same music, are projected onstage. Although we frame classical music in an inventive way, we are committed to maintaining its integrity. We also collaborate with other organizations to curate interdisciplinary arts events that present classical music in eclectic ways.
