Music Furniture turns musical instruments into furniture and home decor. The owners, Suzanne Goeman and Dennis Janssens, are from The Netherlands and started their company in 2007. After market research Suzanne came over in february of 2010 to expand their business to the US. So far they've been working with $ 100,000 of their own capital, but since manufacturing will be shifted towards China, they need an investor to finance the first shipments.
They're looking for $ 70,000 to $ 100,000 for one year and already have one investor down for a loan of $ 30,000.
All products are fully developed and the company is up and running (but until now still manufacturing in the US). Music Furniture has 25 dealers to start with and a couple of them are in typical music cities like Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, LA, New York, Austin. During tradeshows contacts were established with some larger companies as well. A lot has been invested in market research. Suzanne and Dennis know how to expand our business, but before they go out selling again the finances have to be in place. There are three chinese factories bidding and samples were already provided so the company is ready to order the first container.
