· Looking at $10 million Investment , The company has up to 10 clients with whom we have agreements that they will use the company’s resources to carry out the work they have contracted with the New Zealand Government to complete. The 10 clients include the 5 largest civil engineering firms in New Zealand, most of whom are partly or wholly-owned by international partners.
·The company envisages a 20% Plus return on funds invested to go to the investor. The cash profit on the basic road construction projects is attached. Company overheads are budgeted at $ 1,800,000 USD per annum. Net cash profit after overheads and return to investor are shown.
·The principals of the company plus support staff and staff yet to be employed have an aggregate of 120 man-years in this and other related ventures. There are a few competitors who have similar attributes to our business who can provide competition. This company has personal relationships with the decision-makers of the principal clients with whom the company will be working. The number of projects to be undertaken in the next 10 or more years by central and local government in New Zealand cannot be met by the existing players in the business. Our scope of operations of providing machines with skilled operators put the company ahead of most competitors. The major firms who win contracts from the central government have the intention of not proving machinery from their own resources. We, in effect, are replacing the usual manner in which those companies carried out their business. The company’s collateral will be the machinery used in the business plus the staff and management of the company. We are an entrepreneurial team with big ideas and a need for seed capital to turn the ideas into a great company. Attached is a schematic of the range of activities the company wants to enter into. · The land and property development group within the company has the experience and skill to complete property development projects. The aim is to subdivide land using physical resources within the company and construct architect-designed houses for sale to individuals. To enhance this part of the company activities would be the ability to provide finance for eligible clients. We wish to be in the vertically-integrated business of subdividing land, constructing top-end of the market houses and include finance options in the package. Sevans Group (NZ) Limited is a relatively new company formed out of two prior companies with the initial purpose of providing on-hire earthmoving equipment and operators to the infrastructure developments in New Zealand funded by the New Zealand Government.
The attachment titled “Business Activities v2” is a schematic showing the general structure of the company and the activities to be undertaken over time. We have experienced staff specialising in the management of each activity segment of the business. The management team is small and multi-disciplined. Additional staff will be recruited to manage new activities as they come on stream. A capability brochure is under preparation to identify each of the key management persons.
