Description: I'm looking for a true "Angel" investor. I've got an idea that seems to make sense but I know of no one doing it. It is basically taking the marketing method of the satellite program providers (Direct TV and Dish Network) and doing the same with solar electricity. Basically I am looking for seed money to be able to install enough Solar panels on homes to replace the need for electric utility service. The existing service would become the "back-up" and the "pipeline" to sell the extra power generated by the panels. The homeowners would agree to pay the same as their average monthly electric bill until the panels are paid for, then 50% of the bill for the life of the solar units. Any earnings from extra power sold would go to the company and be used to add more units and service existing units. The revenue from the 50% payments would be split 50%/50% between investors and adding new units. In addition the funds from the extra electricity sold going to the company. Homeowners would be required to carry insurance and the company would take care of any service. Eventually, with enough units the company would become a major player in the consumer electricity market. (Imagine a million homes with extra electricity to sell). In addition any tax credits would be assigned to the company by the homeowner to help with start-up costs. We could also charge a "deposit" to help with costs. But upfront charges to the homeowner would have to be in line with that of current providers. This is a plan based on LONG TERM but stable, predictable, consistent and perpetual returns for investors/owners, but "profits" are 5-10 years (or 10,000 installed units) out unless a new technology emerges that lowers the cost of the "Generation Units" which is very likely.
