Three years ago, my father, who insisted on living at home, forgot how to answer the phone. I needed a way to reach him. Skype was out of the question, he was 90 years old! I thought if I could rig up a computer at his house so I could launch a Skype call anytime I (URL removed)n better I could install wheels on it and drive it around his house from my home PC, I could look in on him anytime I wanted. I realized, this was a great idea that many people could use!
My company now has two models of these telepresence robots and have plans for two more.
We have already launched and sold robots for factory support and remote funeral attendance. This will bring us $25M in revenue in the next five years. But we have higher sites. We believe that our security robot and home health care robot will diversify us and increase revenue to over $200M.
