Description: I am British and emigrated to Thailand in 2002. Although a software engineer/manager for 20 years, I now build and directly manage small tourist hotels in Phuket, south Thailand. I have/still own Phuket Airport Hotel | Ao Nang VIP Hotel | Phuket FLY Resort | Airport Overnight Hotel | Airport SKY Resort. I now want to build and manage a 10-15 guest room 'boutique' hotel in south Myanmar, some 3 hours dirve away from my Phuket base, and just 15 minutes across the river estuary from the Thai city of Ranong. I have visited Kawthuang many times, and believe now is a good time to invest in a small hotel project in that area, since the existing few hotels are not up to western standards. Kawthaung receives many hundreds of foreign visitors each day, since it's a popular 'visa-run' destination and has a nearby casino that Thai visitors like to visit. The Myanmar Foreign Business Investment Law has recently been amended to allow 100% foreign ownership of businesses, as well as 8 year tax breaks on profit and free importation of project materials, and free export of profits. I require $300,000 of investment to allow me to construct this hotel in Kawthaung. I will personally manage the project and am very confident that it will generate a sustainable profit.
