Description: Season’s Greetings! I am sending this mail to you, to briefly put forward the direction I wish to take in the field of "Microfinance and Solar Energy". To begin with, I would like to highlight my experience in this field. I have an overall work experience of 19 years, in which I have worked for many top notch companies. I spear headed the microfinancing initiative for companies like ICICI Bank Ltd., where I managed a portfolio worth of $ 1.0 billion approx. Prior to it, I served as Head of Renewable Energy with Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd., and about 07 yrs with GE Capital in asset financing. Having accumulated sufficient knowledge and experience, now I am very keen in starting on my own. As the head of Renewable Energy with Srei Infrastructure I have driven the PVMTI project (photo voltaic market transformation initiative by IFC) to accelerate the sustainable commercialisation and financial viability of PV technology in the developing world and to provide successful examples of sustainable and replicable business models that can be financed on a commercial basis. I would also like to share with you the initiatives that I had taken up in the financing of renewable energy products and establishing the tie-ups as the head of renewable energy with Srei Infrastructure. My achievements were acknowledged and appreciated in the leading newspapers like Economic Times and The Times of India. One such article is being referred below for your kind reference. (URL removed) I am now, looking for an Angel Investor or a venture capital company which could finance my "Dream project", of creating a world class Microfinance Institution, that would promote Renewable Energy in Urban (solar water heater) and in Rural (solar home light) areas along with the normal microfinance activity, aimed at uplifting the livelihood of poor people and to start/expand their business. The aim is to give them a “Quality Life”. The business plan is ready and I have also identified the key people to work on my dream project.
