Description:
My company caters to the arts and crafts needs of the community. My stores sells products and techniques for scrapbooking, cardmaking, ceramics and pottery wheel. We offer classes in scrapbooking, ceramics, pottery wheel and cardmaking. What makes of different than our competitors is that we actually show our customers how to use all the tools and products that are in our store. If a customer comes in and saw a tool or technique on a show or magazine we will order the tool if we do not have it or if we do we will demostrate it for them and let them try it in the store before purchasing one. By doing this we have had a very successful in saling the product, usually 9 times out of 10 we sell the product. The Scrapbooking industry has been taking off successfully for the past 10 years, all ages are now doing a memory book in some way. I opened the store on minumim funds but, with Hurricane Ike and the economy hitting me hard I have not more working capital to replenish my inventory. I feel with a private investor I could turn this business around. The banks have too strict guidelines for me to qualify for a small business loan, this is the reason why I turned to a private investor.
