My sister and I started a partnership real estate investment business a little over a year ago. We equipped ourselves with knowledge of the business by attending real estate investing seminars and keeping up with the current market. We are the only 2 employees of the company and we work from our homes, so our overhead is low. We are not licensed real estate agents at this point, but this is our next step in developing our business. We have only been in business for a little over a year, but during that time we have successfully invested in 5 residential properties and assisted a family member on another great investment. We mostly deal in residential properties that we can purchase for below market value, rehab and resale. We do a lot of the rehabbing ourselves, along with family members, which also cuts down on labor costs. We invest in properties in our local Tri-State area which consist of GA, FL, and AL. We really enjoy our work and have been blessed with successful and profitable ventures thus far.
