Fast, affordable internet with truly unlimited data is currently NOT available for a large portion of the population in rural areas of this country. This is not a luxury, but rather a necessity in these times. The lack of such services has lead to higher levels of rural hardship, failed small businesses and unavailability of online educational resources. This is a huge untapped market which the large ISPs have decided is not worth prioritizing.
We provide an affordable, prepaid high-speed internet service with unlimited data to rural subscribers whom we describe as "under-connected". The majority of these subscribers are located outside of DSL coverage areas and are left with no alternative other than the "high-cost / "low-speed" satellite and 4G LTE services.
Our initial "pilot" footprint will be located in rural Washington County Florida and will target approximately 22,000 households. This is the perfect area for launching our pilot coverage footprint due to it's 70% rural population which is paying an average monthly internet bill of approx. $80 for a subpar service and the close proximity (31km) of our incremental 20Gb/s fiber backhauls which we have contracted to base our line of sight transmissions from. This is also centralized to future projected backhaul sites and interlocking footprints.
Long range WiFi is a market which the big ISPs would rather not venture into nor acknowledge as it would devastate their existing monopolies. In-fact, several smaller upstarts similar to ours have been previously acquired by major ISP's and then promptly decommissioned. The 4G & Satellite internet markets are extremely lucrative as they have established a usage based billing standard of which there is no alternative. SkyTooth is that alternative.
