Description: I would like to open a retail space in Raleigh NC with a focus on One of kind interior, retail/commercial furniture. There is no competition for this business currently within Raleigh or neighboring cities. If you Google high end custom furniture, you get a soft seating vendor, a vendor or specializes in estate furniture, and a couple of cabinet makers. I have an MBA in business with an emphasis on International Business. I have spent the last 12 years of my career as a buyer specializing in furniture, fixtures and equipment in the hospitality industry. I have direct manufacturing contacts in China, Vietnam and the US. I have traveled extensively and have a very broad network of vendors, manufacturers, designers and potential customers. By my closest competitors own admission "getting potential customers together with retailers can be difficult in Raleigh." However, I believe that my niche for high end, one of a kind, is desired in the area and I have the network to tap into not only designers but individuals seeking rare, beautiful conversation pieces. Each piece will be hand selected and guaranteed to be one of a kind. Each will have a story of where the piece originated the craftsman who produced the piece as well as the story of how that piece came to be in our collection; hence “The Story in the Cupboard”.
