Description: We would like to start the first self sufficient laundromat that is kid and college student friendly. We are looking into going completely green on the business with solar panels for electricity and water/heat recycling for the washer/dryers, as well as community outreach for the homeless and offering laundry services to them to help find jobs and maintain a level of personal hygiene conducive to finding work. Our ideas for the children are a romper room with Nerf guns and a large dry erase magnet wall for marker and magnet fun, a large hand painted art scroll for the children to "find" different animals among the landscape as well as themes that the children can pick for the romper room from month to month. The winning theme will be awarded a Gift Certificate to McDonald's for $5.00. We are planning to offer WiFi services and coffee as well for the college students we are hoping to garner as clients. Our area of choice for location is the Leon Valley area of San Antonio located near UTSA campus. We are NOT a coin operated business, we will be using a card system for the laundromat to deter theft and vandalism of the business/machines.
