Description:
The Traveling Poet is a concept that was created when two roommates with a love for poetry decided to let go of everything they ever knew. Convinced that words can change the world, they sold all their belongings, grabbed a camera and hit the road to shoot a documentary that has never been done before. The Traveling Poet will be shot as a pilot for the Travel Channel starting in March of 2009.
Internationally renowned Spoken word artist, Apollo Poetry, with cameraman & poet, Oren, will be driving through every state in America for a total of 5 months non-stop. The public will be able to track them on the internet and subscribe to their daily blogs and video updates. The Traveling Poet just received their first sponsorship in the form of a 30-foot RV, which they will be opening up for websites and advertisers to promote on, exposing their brand to over a million people.
