Description:
The company I would like to start is for "flipping " houses and attaining residential apartments and store fronts/offices. I have been doing this kind of work for roughly 15 years now for other companies owned by friends and co workers. I'm a Union Iromworker by trade and a General Foreman for the past 2 years of Inner City Steel. In all of my spare time I go to work remodeling properties and sharing profits after the jobs are done. Due to a decline in my mother's health I haven't been able to put money aside for my own start-up. I'm also a board member for a NPO called Fight4Vets which I would like to involve to help local veterans get housing. I have many connections in this area and there are plenty of good properties at great prices that would yield high profits after selling and also some multi unit properties that would have a steady income through rent. I personally manage numerous projects at a time scheduling contractors, negotiating the best pricing possible without jeopardizing the quality of work. This is a huge interest of mine and with my connections in the area I would have no problem getting the job done in a fast and costly manner. I currently have 3 general comtractors that come to me to get their jobs done. While I'm not as hands on with the work as I used to be, I never have a problem getting things done alone if my sub co tractors and I can't come to a fair price within the budget. I have numerous contacts in every area required for successful projects and have never missed a deadline on any of the jobs I was running. These companies always come to me when they're in need of help and while I don't mind the extra income and satisfaction of another job done to perfection I would really like to branch off and begin my own company to increase profits. As I mentioned my mother's health declining and anything I can do to help her cover her medication, surgeries and provide adequate care and housing for her would be great. I would like to have a % of profits go toward remodeling and housing homeless veterans as well. The real estate in this area dropped dramatically over the last few years but has recently began to rise again. Every job I've ran has had large profits and never had a disappointed contractor or customer. I am working on getting the business started up as an LLC as soon as possible and would love an opportunity to get started on the first project on my own.
