Quindie is an independent movie distributor that showcases its product on the web via a highly curated system that features reviews, personal connection with the filmmakers, crowdfunding opportunities and through a special relationship with a theatrical exhibitor, a small number of screens to especially good films seeking theatrical distribution. This concept is very different in certain aspects than other online movie sites and should not be confused with Vimeo, YouTube, Crackle or Fandor, although those sites are the competition in some (URL removed) golden egg aspect will only be discussed with serious investors who have dollars on the table as the market approach is totally unique and untapped and I am trying to control the flow of the idea.
Scott McLain (CEO/Founder) has relationships with well known Hollywood entities such as JuVee Productions (Viola Davis), Sundance Instititue, major agency relationships at CAA and WME, et al and is publicly associated with the sale of legendary blues label Vee Jay Records to Concord Music Group. He is currently developing a feature film with Viola Davis and Stuart Benjamin (Ray, La Bamba).
