ScoJo’s Café began as a concept to fill a void in the Downtown Nashville, Tennessee area. ScoJo’s Café was the creation of Scott Jones. Scott Jones started the coffee, deli, and jazz concept in Downtown Nashville in May 2005. After being open, over six months, Scott realized there much more was needed to pay the rent in Historic Downtown Nashville, TN, outside of deli sandwiches, coffee, and desserts. Knowing that they were in an excellent location, Scott decided to think of other ways to bring volume and eventually more profit to his location. There are very high profit margins in coffee, but the addition of alcohol (Wine and Specialty Beers), a projection screen television, and other means of bringing in customers will help take care of the bottom line.
