Navatman is a nonprofit organization pending 501(c)3 status meant to further the South Asian performing arts. Navatman has several goals, and sub goals, and at the forefront is the goal of bringing Indian arts into the mainstream. In this globalizing world, calling "South Asian arts" South Asian before art is a misnomer. It is, in simplest terms, art. No different than ballet and modern, or the symphony, Navatman closes these gaps in understanding by producing large scale events to educate and bring accessibility. Navatman furthermore chooses to push the art form itself, not just concentrating on bringing the traditional art form to the mainstream but pushing the established concepts and ideas to another level altogether.
