Description:
I love working with embroidery designs. I take the embroidery designs, combine them with quilting and design a unique quilt. I like to make them colorful and cheerful. I also especially love making things for babies. They are my greatest joy. Some of the items I make for babies are receiving blanketss, quilts, burp pads and a make a big basket in which everything a new mom needs is placed inside and she also has a good working basket for laundry.
I also embroider company logos on (URL removed)n the purchase of new equipment I will also be able to embroider on baseball caps as well as jackets.
In my gift shop I create items into gifts, make my own jewelry and do artificial floral arrangements. My next new technique will be to use ink to paint on fabric. Once I teach myself then I will open classes in the area.
Other classes that will be taught by me will be sewing, quilting, jewerly making and how to make your own purses. I also have a long arm quilting instructor on stand-by for when we will start long arm quilting classes.
And last but not least, I have a very Special Program that is not only near and dear to my heart but I am proud of it. The program is called "Adopt a Soldier." I design lap quilts for the soldiers who have gone to war and returned home. This lap quilt is free, it cost the soldier nothing. I embroider a design on the quilt, put the soldier's rank, first name, last name and thank you for your service. Right now it is spread by word of mouth.
I know that we are supposed to talk about ourself but my gift shop is my life. I get so much pleasure out of creating items and help people.
You see my husband has just been diagnosed with Dementia. Soon he will not be able to work, and though I will have to take care of him I will continue with my gift shop with the help of funding. as he has taken care of me all these years it is my turn to take care of him, yet I still want to maintain my creativity.
