This no doubt grows out of your gifts as an actress. If I could distill your picture’s virtues down to one essence after all, it would be that it is so successfully character-driven. Everything that happens in the film – even the wildest and most farcical stuff – has a solid core of human logic, human comedy. Only someone who well understands people’s motives, and their little motives-within-motives, could have gotten the particularly delicious performance that you did out of Tim Bottoms. We didn’t have funds for high production value. Despite this, we won 18 laurels, got great reviews and a great distribution contract. The first is an uplifting “dramedy” inspired by “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Miracle on 34th Street.” It was one of four scripts selected out of 1,500 by the WGA for it’s producers access program and Shoreline Entertainment has made me an offer for distribution. “Christmas Wishes” A little girl prays for a Fairy Godmother but is sent a social worker with her own set of problems. Together they realize the key to happiness is forgiveness. The next is a romantic comedy, both heartfelt and hilarious, which is based on my short which went to Cannes and won eleven honors in other festivals. Lauren, a blonde haired, blue-eyed princess from the mid-west, is also a buyer for Bloomingdales. Bob, a gorgeous black guy, is a self-made man who grew up in Watts and is now the owner of Trends, a successful clothing company. They meet when Bob goes to Lauren’s office to pitch his company and his clothing line. If there’s such a thing as love at first site, this is it. They date for two years and all of their friends think of them as the perfect couple ... until he proposes. Their families go ballistic. Their friends say get a pre-nup. Their lawyers create a war.
