Pocket Parks Publishing was formed to publish guides to pocket parks and public spaces in the U.S. and in London (so far). The first guide, BEST Pocket Parks of NYC, was published in January 2014. My goal is to publish an app for each title that gives the user the location to the park nearest their location along with a little history pertaining to that location.
Currently, I have won one award and one grant for my business plan, one scholarship to attend VetsInTech, acceptance into Techstars Patriots Bootcamp in NYC, VWISE also in NYC, and have hired the writer of the next guide. I have also created a mock-up of my app through (URL removed), but have not paid for the subscription yet. I am waiting until after VetsInTech to see if I move the app forward through this program or, dare I say it, find an investor or developer who would like to share the work with me.
