We are aiming to open a full service auto repair shop with auto sales. I will be running the office and sales division, and my partner will be running the garage. We have no doubt that we can successfully operate this business for a long time. If we had any doubts, the location took those away. The building that found is on what is called auto row. In Omaha, if you need anything automotive thats where you go. It's a proven location. The owner of the building has been there successfully for 42 years, and is retiring for age. He is still the owner, we will be leasing directly from him. His office will be across the street and he is willing to help us get started and continue to be there if we have any questions. I feel very lucky that I'll have someone their to coach us on any problems that we run into. The property has over 65000 square feet with a 7000 square foot building. The building has a 5 bay garage that holds two cars per bay. The front office is actually a show room with holds two cars for display along with a waiting area and cashiers desk. It has two separate offices and a parts room. The previous business had 23 full time employees. This place is a proven gold mine. Auto row has many car lots, about 20 in a two mile stretch. But we will be the only full service repair shop in 4 miles. There are specialty shops in the area. For example, an exhaust shop, transmission shop, and a body shop. We will replace transmissions but not rebuild them. No body work and the exhaust shop has very poor credentials. We will be full service, meaning everything from oil changes to engine changes. There are only maybe 5 other full service facilities in Omaha and none of them have been lucky enough to get on auto row.
