Virtual Raceways is an attempt to turn a hobby into a business. I have already invested at least $30,000 in to it myself. I started off setting up a Digital Slot Car track at Birthdays and Corporate events, however recently added an 8-Player Race Simulator pre-setup to race right inside a trailer, something I have been trying to do since 1999... but I have only recently had the cash and found a temporary trailer cheap enough to test it out.
more than cash, I need help getting into larger events, and finding CORPORATE clients with company picnics or trade shows. I could also use help getting a better routine to stay organized, because it is just a hobby I have just been doing things as they come up and not really planning or keeping track of much.
However, what I am doing now is only a crude and affordable patch to just get it up and running, and in my mind is not good enough. What I really want to do requires a bigger trailer, maybe even a brick and mortar location. But that would be pointless unless I can get more cash flowing.
I am about to spend money on trailer graphics, logos, advertising etc, but I do not have much more than dust in the bank.
Right now, my only repeat cost is the website, storage for the trailer, and insurance. I have no physical location to pay for. However, I have my eye on a location for Winter use, if they were not so greedy with their square footage price.
