Description: DCT Kenya will become the franchisee of DCT University Centre in Switzerland. Students will study 4 terms in Kenya and 4 terms in Switzerland to obtain a BA in Hotel Management at half the price as if they were to study only in Switzerland. There are many hotels in Mombasa which need to be renovated in order to adhere to international standards. These hotels are in part standing empty for several years; however, these hotels can easily be restructured into a hotel management school. There is the option of buying a hotel relatively cheap or lease it. Therefore the investment amount varies in consequence. Kenya is in need of an internationally recognized hotel management school which is accredited, so students can continue their study to earn a Bachelor degree in Europe or elsewhere. DCT Kenya will have half of its students from Africa and half internationally. A full hotel management program to obtain a BA in Switzerland costs in average Euro 135’000; students enrolling to DCT Kenya will get the same degree at half of this price by obtaining a Swiss diploma in Kenya (4 terms) and transfer to DCT Switzerland for further 4 terms. The franchise acquired from DCT University Center includes the training of the teachers, the full program outline as well as the usage of their internationally renowned name. There will also be a culinary program taught by experienced European chefs and one term short courses to obtain a certificate from DCT Switzerland in kitchen, service or front office. I have also worked on the marketing side of the project. I have made a website called (URL removed) which at the moment is being restructured. In this website I compare the 9 best Swiss hotel schools in great detail, allowing students to compare over 100 criteria for each of the 8 courses that the schools offer in average. The website is free, however, in order to see the information, potential students have to register and give me their name and email address. This allows me to collect a considerable number of targeted leads which I can contact and offer DCT Kenya’s program once the project starts. Please request detailed business plan for full details.
