Description: The name of the company is Rodders, and it spans two creative projects. The first part of the project is a creative center for artists, writers, and other people in the arts. We will offer free seminars for design, writing, music, and art. The facility will have an art center, design center, music room, and writing area that can be utilized at no cost by people in the creative industry. The company will also hold fashion shows and other events to highlight creativity in the city. The second part of the company is an accompanying national magazine, entitled Rodders Magazine. The editorial content highlights road trips, design, event, journalism, personalities, art, music, and theater. The business will be housed in roughly 3,000 sq ft. and in addition to the creative center, there will be a Bookstore, and Reading Lounge. This project is very important to the community because it gives creative people the chance to be creative in an environment that encourages creativity. Also, it gives creatives with limited finances or facilities the ability to use our location to design, create art, and music. The fact that we'll also have a national magazine gives us the chance to highlight some of the great people that come into the creative center, and possibly give them a great start into their careers in the creative industries. Funds raised will cover start-up costs for printing of our first edition of Rodders Magazine, Staffing, and Materials for the center. Additional funds would be used to expand other creative programs. This project being funded would be a dream come true not only for me, but for all of creative people in this area.
