Because of current market conditions, we have been forced to look beyond traditional funding sources in order to raise capital for large, independent films.
Kevin's new film, 'Learning Italian', is a high concept, romantic comedy set in small fishing village in Italy. Drawing on Kevin's keen sense of dry humor and wit, (Bull Durham), we believe 'Learning Italian' will translate very well into drawing an overseas audience in addition to a large domestic crowd.
We are looking for $10mm in equity financing, as $22mm in debt, tax credits and international pre-sales is currently being secured.
The film is being produced under Kevin's production company, 'Tig Productions.'
Producer is Howard Kaplan (The Good Shepherd)
Director/Writer is Kevin Reynolds (Tristan & Isolde, Waterworld, Robin Hood)
Principal photography is scheduled to begin in early February '10.
