Description: I currently work at Cesar Millans Dog Phycology Center (DPC) in Santa Clarita, Ca. I am a disabled veteran who suffered from depression, anxiety and alcohol/ drug abuse. I served 5 years in the United States Marine Corps with 2 overseas deployments. I have discovered a way to use dogs to help disabled veterans cope with life after the military and being overseas. I have worked with Cesar Millan for the past 3 years and have a great understanding for dog Phycology and rehabilitating troubled dogs. I have also attended many classes and programs offered by the Veteran Affairs in North Hills, Ca. I would like to impliment a program that I can teach veterans to cope with PTSD through dogs. I have taken dogs to he VA to interact with vetarans and it has been remarkable to see the smiles the canines bring to their face. I have brought veterans to the DPC to get a feel of what I have been through, the DPC has been therapeutic for myself and it was something that was beneficial to the veteran. I currently teach course that I work with troubled dogs and unbalanced humans. I would also rehabilitate dogs who are in kill shelter to save their lives as well. Veterans and dogs can be saved with this program. A location would be ideal to start up this program that is in high demand. I will teach veterans to work with animals as they will be given purpose in life. Trust is hard to gain as we only trusted each other in battle. A dog has no problem trusting and can show veterans how to trust in life.
