My wife and I are looking to acquire an exisiting business. The business is a retail provider of specialty pet nutrition and health needs. These products cannot be found in the traditional "big box" stores like Petco or Petsmart. The seller is the original owner/founder. She is selling the business so that she can return to school to pursue a degree in animal nutrition.
The business had positive cash flows of approximately $76k in 2007. Revenues have increased dramatically from $250k in 2006 to over $500k in 2007. Q1 2008 sales were over $160k.
