OCR Business Plan Summary
Time has a way of resolving challenges that in the beginning appear to be insurmountable, but in the long run are only opportunities disguised as problems.
The problem that we are talking about is the early stages of communicating around the world, first as telegraph cable then telephone land lines and then finally telex. This is all way before the age of the computer and the internet. A time period from 1868 to 1979 is when the submarine communication cable was laid consisting of high grade copper, lead and steel.
During the early stages of laying cable, 1868 to the mid 1960’s no one was considering what effects this cable may have over long periods of time to the vast ocean environment. Well 100 years later, we discover that the metals in that cable are currently effecting the marine life in a very negative way. But again, no one has come up with a safe and a cost effective way to remove this old and decommissioned cable from the ocean environment until now.
A commodity that was once usable becomes unusable as the advancement of technology as in the case with fiber optic cable. The good news is that unusable commodity (Cable which is copper, lead and steel) can be removed from the ocean floor and sold on the open worldwide market as a usable product again. This is truly recycling at its supreme!
The best part of this whole operation is that there is virtually no competition. Why? No one has come up with a design and a method to remove the cable safely and most important cost effectively. Ask yourself the question how many businesses have you invested in that have no competition and work on a 90% -95% profit margin?
To accomplish all the above OCR (Ocean Cable Recovery) developed SCARS (Submarine Cable Automatic Removal System). SCARS has the ability to remove cable safely and very cost effectively. SCARS and the combined proprietary removal method enables us to effectively remove this extremely heavy cable off the ocean floor without tipping the ship over or disturbing the ocean environment. This very old and decommissioned cable becomes free feed stock (excluding the cost of removing it) eventually to be sold on the open market place as a valuable commodity.
Currently there is approximately over 3 million nautical miles of old decommissioned cable off the coast of the United States to be removed. There are 4 diameter sizes of cable. 2” total weight of 9 lbs. per foot, 4” total weight of 15 lbs. per foot, 6” total weight of 34 lbs. per foot and 8” total weight of 50 lbs. per foot. In general, it’s a lot of weight no matter what size cable you are removing.
Just to give you an idea of the magnitude of this business, if all we removed was 2” cable for the 1st year that would translate to approximately a profit of 20,000,000.00.
In order to reach this goal as a startup company, we are seeking $15,000,000.00 which enables the investor or investors a high yield return on their initial investment.
If our 2 prong method of cleaning up the ocean environment and selling a recycled usable commodity on the open market place at 90% - 95% profit margin interest you please contact us for further information.
