We have two distributors and others wanting to carry our product. We have exclusive rights from the famous Barcelo' family in the Dominican Republic to import the Columbus Rum products into the U.S.
The Columbus Anejo Rum took the Gold Medal Award at the 2009 International Sip Awards in L. A. last November. The popularity is growing. Our problem is meeting demands. We have the product and the capability to reach 32 states and more.
Our original business plan was for 10 states but we have made amendments to the original plan for 16 states or 31 states, depending on the loan we can get.
This industry is a pretty safe investment with this Gold Medal winner. A hundred judges did a blind taste with all labels removed from the bottles and the public chose Columbus Rum.
We are excited for this opportunity to bring this product to the U. S. that is already successful in Europe, South America and Japan.
