I am looking for an investor to help me get a pipe/tube welding training facility going, I want to be able to have 12-15 welding booths. I am from Kentucky and moved to southeast Texas 3 years ago, the work for pipe welders is in great demand all along the gulf coast with average starting salary with no experience is 30 dollars an hour. I have a structure set up that I believe can train someone in six months or less to become a combination structural/pipe/tube welder. Most schools that offer this training charge around 16,000 dollars, I paid 14,000. Worth every penny. I have been trying welders for Bechtel in Sabine pass after work for two hours, four nights a week and I enjoy it very much. I already have my LLC set up and ready to make this happen. People are getting bad trading now days, I've noticed a big change over the last ten years in the quality of welders coming out of other schools and it's bad. I have a lot of people interested already, the AWS (American Welding Society) is predicting a shortage of 300,000 welder by 2020, the gulf coast alone needs to put out about 800 welders a year right now, and it's not happening. I am 100% sure this will be a profitable business, all I'm asking for is someone to give me a shot.
