I'm Italian with 25 years experience in the restaurant and cafe' business in London U.K. and I can clearly see what is about to happen in fast developing India: the rat-race is about to come and in major towns like Bangalore is already here. As the owner of a large coffee co. in UK said 15 years ago: The rat-race society needs caffeine to cope with tight dead-lines and the (URL removed)s is why the strong Italian coffee has taken over the UK and Ireland in just a few years!" That's right. Italian food and coffee chains in U.S. and U.K. have never fail, actually they are still thriving even under the recession. We Westerns-especially the British-know well what I'm talking about 8,9 major coffee chains as Costa Coffee, Coffee Republic, Eat, Pret A Manger, Caffe' Nero and Starbucks (of which owner got his idea from an holiday in Italy) which is already here in India are all getting ready to come to India a billion+ people and if all these companies are doing well in UK that is oonly 60 million people you can imagine how many coffee Cos. we'll need in the friendly and about-to-boom India! The plan is to open as many units as possible as soon as possible in all the best cities and towns/train stations/busy market areas, etc. We'll be serving coffees/teas/pasta/pizza and Italian ice-cream. It might be hard to believe it but Italian products in general are becoming very popular even traditional India and the new generations are very much influenced by the Western culture and way of life which is fast spreading all over. One more point to consider is that in India we don't risk to endup in an unstable and doggi political situation like it happened in Thailand recently.. I am willing to offer even a partial partnership to the investor which is willing to come up with enough money to develop this master plan, plus, of course, he will get a great ROI.
