My company is producing a free web-based software solution for users to facilitate a gift exchange. The website, (URL removed) was launched to the public in November 2007. The idea is being used by a niche market of Christian Americans due to the site's branding and name, Family-Christmas. The site is based upon the idea of facilitating a gift exchange by taking the place of traditional paper and pencil wish lists with an online resource for people to go posts gifts in their account, browse the gifts of others and choose to get another member a gift all without the gift owner knowing whom is gifting whom. We plan to then analyze and possibly sell the non personalized data, market smart ads to prospective gift buyers based on wish lists items and partner with companies like (URL removed) and the Salvation Army.
