A unique non profit offering whose goal is to help improve pedestrian safety through Education, Indentifacation and Improvement in neighborhoods nationwide. We accomplish this through the National Sidewalk Safety Service Project.
The project consits of three services:
1. The Sidewalk Survey -Summer jobs for youth who walk the streets indentifing hazardous sidewalks and Educating residents of their sidewalk maintenance responcibilities.
2. The Sidewalk Report Card - A report card which complies the survey data and assigns a grade to each community. This report card is published and provides communties a tool to track their progress toward safer neighborhoods.
