Without going in too much detail here our value proposition is as follows:
Build a truly IEEE standards compliant Ethernet to optical Media converter working at the layer 2 level thus allowing inter-operability with third party vendors
Build a Tier 1 class PON (passive optical network) product that is feature rich and affordable to the Tier 2 & 3 markets, which have been neglected as of now. These Tier 2 & 3 markets are looking for, and want this type of product. The problem is to date, is that in most cases these Tier 2 & 3 customers could not afford, or would limit the amount of units that they would be purchased from a Tier 1 type of manufacturer due to cost restraints, and the lack of interest from the Tier 1 vendors to support them.
