My two sons and I started Q Slow-Smoked. We renovated a building in old downtown Boaz and opened on March 1, 2013. We are a BBQ restaurant. We offer REAL Q ... slow-smoked with natural hardwoods. Many, many folks say we have the best BBQ they have ever eaten. We have a very poor location but even then we are interested in expanding. Our expansion plans are two-fold: 1) expand our current facilities to approximately 200 seats (now we are at 55) and start serving alcohol and providing Friday and Saturday night entertainment; and 2) begin all steps necessary to position ourselves for franchising. We know we have the product. We simply need capital.
