I'm trying to start up a bakery in my hometown,My husband and I have done a survey and found the town can and will support such a venture. There is no "competition" anywhere in the area unless you go to Wal-Mart in Mt. Vernon, or Millersburg, niether of which I consider competition, since my bakery will be all old fashioned from scratch recipes. I have sold many cakes here for graduation and birthday and gotten rave reviews. I have been in the food service industry for approx. 30years. and have plenty of expierience, and a love for baking.
