Description:
My name Raymond Medeiros and I am the vice president of baseball operations for the Jackie Robinson League in southeastern Massachusetts. I have spoken with Jackie's grandson Jesse Simms and he has given his blessing on the name of the league. We are a brand new league that is at the moment still in the dream stages. we have some basics in mind, one of which will be that our league is going to start serving 13-17 years children and then expand from there another is that this is an all wood bat league.. Our biggest dream is to bulid a small replica stadium of Ebbets Field in one of our surrounding cities. We are focusing on the inner city children in our area, but we will be a regional league, serving multiple communities. We are trying to raise funds for this huge endeavor,as you know it is quite a project.
