Genese Music and Entertainment Group LLC was established in the fall of 2000 under the name of Raljaz Music Group. Initially, Raljaz Music was a sole proprietorship owned by Ralph Rogers that offered recording services and equipment rental. In 2002, Raljaz Music merged with a small recording studio and started to develop a recording label.
The newly formed label experienced a great of success in the Mid-Atlantic through an aggressive marketing and touring campaign. This resulted in the creation of marketing, development, and production divisions. In 2004 the former partners were bought out and the process of building Genese Music began.
