HL forest owns 800 hectares of fast growing eucalyptus forest, within 50km of port Xiamen, Province Fujian; South China.
We look to expand to about 6500 hectares within next 2 - 5 years.
For his expansion we need to get additional capital from outside.
The price of forest land in the area appreciated by 20%/year over the past 3years
Wood prices have also incresed by about 8%-10%/annum over this period. (all local currency)
China has presently a wood/woodproduct gap of over 100mo m3 per year. Its estimated to reach a gap of 140mio m3 in 2015.
Forests are also the only real estates deals left for non chinese investors.
