The Friendship Baptist Church (FBC) Summer Youth Employment Program is a program that provides youth of FBC, between the ages of 16 and 18 years old with an array of employment that closely matches their specific vocational interest. Friendship is committed to referring only youth that have been prescreened; have transportation; who are open to new and different work experiences; who have shown leadership capability; and who are excited about learning work and life skills that will serve them into adulthood. The success of this program depends largely on the partnerships developed with prospective/ participating employers. To that end, Friendship’s Summer Youth Employment Program partners with businesses, government and community organizations to deliver meaningful work opportunities to Friendship youth.
