Society for Improvement in Backward Areas for Rural Development-SIBARD whose aim is to fight poverty and help the needy. Since 2003, we are working with the poor and marginalised tribal people of Telangana, almost without any fund. We are working with local communities to address collectively the people’s movement & poverty.
We are reaching out the target group through SHGs (Self-Help Groups) of which , mostly are poor and marginalised, belong to tribal communities, supporting them in their struggle to access their rights to food, shelter, work, education, agriculture development, swachh Bharat, education for poor &street children adolescent education, awareness on Tuberculosis, HIV(AIDS),training programmes, new diseases and climate change programs, healthcare measures , and human security and helping them have their voice in their development decisions effecting their lives and livelihood.
The people we work with include the self-Help Groups of dalits, tribal people, other section of rural poor, women, children and minorities. We are working with the tribals and other backward communities at Khammam, Warangal, Karimnagar, Rangareddy, Medak and Nalgonda districts in the state of Telangana.
At present we are working with ITC Agro Forestry project in remote area of Kalimela Mandl,Malkangiri Dist Odissa State.
