I founded OmniMarkets in 2004, first to consult with the banking industry, using my experience as quant/trader. Things started changing in 2009/2010, with the crisis and the advent of new technologies for computing (GPU/cloud) allowing me to access cheap computing power. I started hiring people and we started by doing consulting work (MonteCarlo based models) for the industry while at the same time building our knowledge and our own apps/platform. We have now transitioned away from the consulting work and are very excited about all the opportunities the disruption of the traditional banking system is opening.
