Unity House for Sober Living

Location: canton
Industry: Healthcare
Year Founded: 2009
Number Employees: 1-10 people
Description: My experience is that there are a lot of places out there that are there for reasons other than true recovery (profit, ego, etc). There are a lot of "dry drunks" and thus negativity in the recovery community. So while people may still be sober and clean they may not be living life in true recovery. True recovery is not just being clean and sober but as a whole being positive about life, forgiving, understanding and helping others to achieve a positive frame of mind and not just being sober and clean. Unity House will live by that creed. We will have on our board and as house managers those whose only purpose to be there is to help and not to be there just for a paycheck or ego. We will teach not just sobriety but how to live a better life. Unity House will never give up on anyone and while bills will need to be paid, those that show true desire for a better life may get the help they need without having to worry about money first. We are not a treatment facility, we are a sober living environment. Our purpose is not that of treating, but of teaching and living by example. Unity House will not push 12 steps as the only way to a better life. Unity House's purpose is to help others find what works for them to stay clean and sober and be a support network that helps them live every day life. Looking for $50,000 - $100,000
