Description:
Bova Contemporary Furniture, specializing in the import and retail sales of high-end modern/contemporary furniture and accessories.
Bova Contemporary Furniture first launched in Denver, Colorado in November of 1981. Today it is a nationwide chain with individually owned stores located in
Atlanta, Washington D.C., Dallas, Cincinnati and Phoenix. Atlanta also serves as the central warehouse for direct imports. The Bova enterprise grosses approximately $16M in annual sales. Website: (URL removed)
Bova Furniture’s Arizona presence began with an 8K sq ft Mesa location in 1985. In 2001 Bova relocated to Tempe and opened a 30K sq ft showroom, followed by a 20K sq ft Scottsdale location in 2006. Bova Tempe was closed in June 2009 due to the recession. Over the past several months, the Bova Scottsdale store has been running a remodeling sale, clearing out the entire inventory in preparation for the new business plan. We have negotiated a new 18 months lease on a smaller 7,000 sq ft showroom next to the existing location in Scottsdale. The plan is to re-open Bova with a totally new boutique concept with modern contemporary indoor and outdoor furniture. The smaller footprint allows Bova to adapt and evolve quickly with the economy and customer demand. In order to maximize the gross margin, we will only showcase new lines of merchandise that are exclusive to Bova in the state of Arizona.
In connection with the new opening, we are looking for an investor or partner with a total investment of $150,000 to $200,000. The capital will be used for payment of new inventory.
