I am creating a "Social Shopping" web site, an e-commerce/social network destination for a specific sector. It uses member recommendation as a shopping driver and builds on offline social interactions to drive usage and sales.
The web site is at the early development stage. I recently contracted a team of developers via (URL removed) and, while they did a fine job of building part of the back-end, I would prefer to bring the remaining development home (UK) to complete the major work (if costs allow).
I am developing the front-end code and designing the look and feel.
Reasons for funding are to complete the web site development (completing the back-end of the bespoke social network and bespoke e-commerce system), targeted marketing to drive initial early membership during the soft launch phase and dedicated server space. Also, I already have the site domain name, but I have identified a new, excellent domain name for sale by a private broker. It is short and very relevant and for marketing purposes alone is perfect.
In return for funding I am offering equity in the company.
