Description: I am an Emmy nominated, award winning filmmaker and the owner of a profitable San Diego Video Production Company for over 20 years, but that is not why I am contacting you. I am in development of the Dramatic Feature Film, Salvation Mountain - The Story of Leonard Knight... In 1971, and autistic drifter came to believe he was called to tell the world "God is love." What happened over the next twenty five years is both too unbelievable for anyone to dare make up, and subject matter of my film. I have been living, working, and filming Leonard, off and on since his now famous cameo in the film INTO THE WILD. I seek at a minimum Development (Startup) capital if not outright funding. I have nearly four years into this and want to proceed with the right people to maintain the integrity of my story. Why? I believe Leonard is the not only the most fascinating living person in the world, but his is also the greatest story that has never been told (literally of Biblical proportions), but don't take my word for it. I've created a teaser you can view at: (URL removed) It was cut from a documentary I am also producing to cross-promote the film. You don't know me from Adam, but I guarantee after you watch this, YOU WILL KNOW I AM FOR REAL. At (URL removed) you will find my Query/Pitch on Paper among other info. I have secured the rights to his life story, and have written an excellent script that has benefited from multiple top script consultants, and I am ready to go into Preproduction. Thank you for your time and consideration. God bless, Patrick Rea (Phone # removed)(URL removed) Facebook: (URL removed) More Screensavers at: (URL removed) Funding needed: There are of course different stages relative to the films production. 10-20k is what I need to package the film for development. The film could be made for under 500k, but the story and the films potential revenue is more deserving of a 5-10 million budget... Quick background: Leonard receives more visitors than anyone on earth. He is the most photographed human being. Half the people that drive to the middle-of-no-where are from overseas. Between the million people that he may have already met, the internet, facebook, documentaries, PBS, local/foreign TV and of course the film INTO THE WILD, he is already world famous. The film will appeal (as does Leonard) to both a secular and faith based audiences. I believe it will not only be the largest grossing faith based film but one of the largest grossing films of 2012 (assuming we can go into production by December of this year). It is deserving of a proper budget.
