I am working throught the patent process on a novel approach to provide a Virtual Countertop Cookbook, utilizing currently commercially available components that can:
1) From a standard computer, PC or MAC, hidden in a cabinet utilizing either COTS, Common Off The Shelf, recipe/cooking software, or through cooking and recipe websites.
2) Project a computer image from the cabinet or the ceiling above onto a standard kitchen countertop for viewing recipes, cooking methods, measurement conversions, food/ingredient substitutions, creating shopping lists and cutting guides, as well as displaying internet content.
3) Control of this system would be through a projecting virtual keyboard that can be projected and touched on almost any surface. The keyboard watches your fingers move and translates that action into keystrokes in the device, some can control mouse movement or a Bluetooth washable mouse could be incorporated
