I am an artist representative for creative individuals. Creatives tend not to understand what it takes to promote themselves effectively in the business community, and so this is where I come into play. I sell, market and consult the creatives I work with as well as project manage. Artist reps have been around for a long time; however, most reps can be found on the east and west coasts due to the high-end capabilities of artists in those areas and the higher percentage of business in need of creative assistance. The Midwest is an untapped market, which is where I have my business. Our area has a lot of creative individuals, a sound market, and potential to become known. I made the decision to go on my own after working for a commercial photography studio. The photographer in the studio I came from is leaving and this was going to change my position, so I decided it was time to go it alone. The biggest problem, I was not ready to fund a business, as just like any other middle-class family, we have a lot of expenses in today's poor economic state. I have a vision and a strategy for growth of my business, am a recent graduate from the adult education program at Concordia University, and have a passion for what I am doing. I just need a small investment to help me get moving forward with cash flow, equipment purchases, and promotional items for my marketing and would appreciate any assistance I can get.
