CrossWell Ltd. has obtained commercial patents to a proven acoustic wireline transmitter. We have conducted a redesign of the source for use as a permanent, continuously operating downhole reservoir monitoring system. The signal distance is 10x greater than any existing active well monitoring system. The Active Well Monitoring market alone is growing 70% per year and will reach $1.7 billion by 2012. Our system will also be an alternative to other crosswell imaging systems, including 4D seismic. Acoustic waves monitor lithology, i.e. fluid dynamics of the reservoir, whereas 4d seismic monitors geological strata. We have an industry partner ready to assist in full commercialization.
